The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Valery Zaluzhny, said that Ukraine will purchase four more Bayraktar TB2 attack drone complexes from Turkey – each complex includes six drones.
In his interview to report.az Zaluzhny noted that they will be delivered to Ukraine during 2021-2022.
“One complex was purchased this year by order of the Ministry of Defense. In addition, to meet the needs of the Armed Forces in 2021-2022, it is planned to purchase four more complexes. In the future, we plan to replenish the arsenal with locally produced unmanned aerial vehicles,” he explained.
In addition, Zaluzhny recalled that Ukraine has already bought one complex from Turkey this year, and now the Armed Forces of Ukraine have two – 12 drones, six mobile control stations, as well as auxiliary equipment.
The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine also added that Ukraine will carefully study the technique of using drones.
“Firstly, we need to learn how to work effectively with them, and secondly, we must know the tactics of the ways of their use. We must take a comprehensive approach to the issue. The acquisition of Bayraktar does not end with the acquisition of Bayraktar. Now we are studying the method of using these devices,” he said.
